The silver medallist in the slalom at the 2003 world championships was reportedly arrested at the village of Corvara after a woman claimed to witness a young man masturbating outdoors and Italian police went to the scene to find Zurbriggen.
The 25-year-old said that he was simply urinating and "did what every man would do and I shook my penis to get rid of every last drop."
"I'm very sorry I offended this woman and I will tell her I'm very sorry and I will also pay a fine if I have to," Zurbriggen added, saying that he had to prepare for Monday's slalom at Alta Badia.
