Dave Ryding in action on Sunday in World Cup Finals

Dave Ryding is in action on Sunday in World Cup Finals and the final few days of action at the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships.

Ryding will be looking to round up his historic season with another impressive result as he takes on the Slalom at the World Cup Finals in Aspen, Colorado on Sunday. The action will be shown on Eurosport with run one starting at 16.00 GMT and run two at 18.30.
Alex Tilley will be in North America Cup action this weekend first taking on the Slalom races in Val St-Come, Canada on Friday and Saturday. This will be followed by two Giant Slalom races in Garceau, Canada on Sunday and Monday.
This weekend is also the Europa Cup Finals in Innichen, Italy, with British athletes in action in both the Giant Slalom on Saturday followed by the Slalom on Sunday. Keep an eye on the British Ski and Snowboard Twitter feed for updates on who is in action and results.
Over in Are, Sweden at the Junior World Alpine Ski Championships, Charlie Raposo clocked the best British result of the event in the Men’s GS finishing in 6th place, with Laurie Taylor behind him in 19th,Billy Major in 33rd and Robert Poth in 55th position. In the Ladies Slalom Yasmin Cooper finished in 37th place with Darcie Mead and Jess Anderson unfortunately DNF. In the Men’s Slalom unfortunately all four athletes DNF.

GB PARK AND PIPE

The GB Park and Pipe halfpipe skiers begin their competition at the Freestyle Ski Halfpipe World Championships in Sierra Nevada today. Fresh from their impressive results at the Swiss Ski Halfpipe Championships last weekend, Rowan Cheshire and Murray Buchan will be joined by teammates Madi Rowlands, Molly Summerhayes, Pete Speight and Alex Glavatsky-Yeadon in today’s qualifiers, with finals on Saturday. Jamie Nicholls, Matt McCormick and Aimee Fuller are also all in action today in qualification for Snowboard Big Air. Finals run tomorrow.

Following his second successive medal at the X Games last week, James ‘Woodsy’ Woods, will be taking to the World Championship Ski Slopestyle course. He will be joined by teammates Katie Summerhayes, Madi Rowlands, Isabel Atkin, Tyler Harding, Cal Sandieson and Mike Rowlands with qualification due to take place on Friday with finals on Sunday.
Action from the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships can be seen on the BBC red button and website as well as on Eurosport.
GB Park and Pipe Pathway snowboarders Billy Cockrell, Fin Bremner, Henry Shackleton, Glen Ironside, and Cerys Allen are competing at the Slopestyle and Halfpipe Europea Cup in Laax on Friday and Sunday.

BRITISH NORDIC AND SKI JUMPING

The British Nordic team is in Quebec City ahead of the Cross Country World Cup Finals this weekend. In action will be Andrew Musgrave, Andrew Young, Callum Smith & Annika Taylor This follows Musgrave’s incredible 4th place finish in the 50 km F at the World Ski Championships earlier this month. The Sprint Freestyle races are tomorrow, with the Classic Mass start events on Saturday and the Freestyle Pursuits on Sunday.
Robert and Jake Lock, British Ski Jumping twins based in Park City, will be competing in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Chaikovsky, Russia on Saturday and Sunday.

BRITISH SKI AND SNOWBOARD CROSS

Pam Thorburn and Emily Sarsfield are in action this weekend at the Ski Cross event at the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada. Qualification and finals both take place on Saturday.

This weekend Snowboard Cross athletes Maisie Potter, Anna Richardson, Phoebe Heath, Paul Moralee, Bradley Gaulter, Brandon Cain and Rory Ewart will take on the Europa Cup in Lenk, Switzerland. Races will take place Friday and Saturday.
Also in Europa Cup action are Ski Cross athletes Alannah Lawrie, Emma Peters, Ollie Davies and Finlay Davies.

MOGULS

Thomas and Gerken Schofield will be looking to continue his Europa Cup podium form this weekend in Jyvaskyla, Finland. He will be joined by Makayla Gerken Schofield and Will Feneley with races taking place on Sunday.

TELEMARK

The GB Telemark team are in La Plagne, France this week for the Telemark World Ski Championships. In yesterday’s Team Parallel Sprint they came in 5th position with the Parallel Sprint races happening today. The team for La Plagne World Cup is Jasmin Taylor, Louis Hatchwell, Jasper Taylor, Sion Bingham, Alec Dixon and Naila Cardwell.
