Hirscher, who becomes the most successful Austrian slalom skier in World Cup history with his 15th win in the discipline, posted a time of 57.26 seconds on his first run.
That bested Felix Neureuthers effort by nearly nine tenths of a second, putting him in contention for his fifth victory of the season.
His second run was comparatively slow by his standards at 58.70seconds but Neureuther had to settle for second place after only a marginal improvement on Hirschers time.
Sebastian-Foss Solevaags combined time of 1:57minutes was good enough for third his first-ever podium.
But eyes remain fixed on Hirscher, who leads the overall standings by 52 points with 676 in total.
