Kjetil Jansrud staked an early claim that he is the man to beat at the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, after comfortably winning the downhill test event in Jeongseon, South Korea.
The Norwegian, who won downhill bronze at Sochi 2014 as well as Super G gold, came home in 1:41.38 minutes to take the win, the test event also doubling up as a World Cup race.
In second, 0.20 back, was Italian Dominik Paris, while American Steven Nyman claimed the final podium spot by crossing the line in 1:41.79.
But there was no doubting who the star of the show was, with Jansrud giving Norway their 17th World Cup win of the season.
It was also just Jansrud's third downhill World Cup victory of the campaign, having taking home the title last season.
Jansrud is now fourth in the overall standings and third in the downhill rankings, with the latter led by his compatriot Aksel Lund Svindal – who was absent from South Korea, on 436 points.
The overall World Cup leader is Austrian Marcel Hirscher on 969 points, with Svindal 63 further back in second.
