Olympic gold medallist Kjetil Jansrud didn't let a fog delay faze him as he triumphed in a shortened World Cup downhill race in Kitzbuehel, Austria.
Fog on the upper part of the legendary Streif course delayed the 75th running of the World Cup's most prestigious event by two hours and forced organisers to significantly lower the start gate.
But Norway's Jansrud put all distractions aside to clock a time of 58.16 seconds to edge out in-form Italian Dominik Paris by 0.02, with Guillermo Fayed of France coming in third.
Paris had won the super-G on the same course on Friday but was unable to overhaul a determined Jansrud, who gave Norway their first downhill victory at Kitzbuehel since Lasse Kjus in 2004.
As a result of the win, the 29-year-old extended his lead over Paris and Fayed in the World Cup downhill standings as well as narrowing the gap on Marcel Hirscher in the overall standings.
Austria's Hirscher sits on 916 points with Jansrud now on 834 while Alexis Pinturault lies a further 223 points behind.
