Alexis Pinturault sealed back-to-back Alpine Combined World Cup crystal globes after finishing 20th in the final round in Wengen.
With just two rounds of racing, Frenchman Pinturault went into the event in pole position after winning the opener in Santa Caterina last month.
Switzerland's Niels Hintermann won the second round to delight the home crowd, but after failing to score any World Cup points in Italy, his 100 in Wengen were not enough to overcome Pinturault – whose 11 points for a 20th place finish were enough to seal the title by 11.
Pinturault, 25, made his World Cup debut aged just 17 and has finished third in the overall World Cup in each of the last three years.
And the Sochi 2014 giant slalom bronze medallist added to his 2016 alpine combined title with a fourth-place finish in the slalom, and 30th in the downhill.
Home favourite Justin Murisier clocked a time of 49.06s in the slalom, the fastest of the round, with France's Maxence Muzaton stopping the clock in 1:34.15 in the downhill to record the fastest time in the second run.
Hintermann was good enough only for 23rd in the slalom, but a run of 1:34.29 placed him second in the downhill and pushed him onto the top spot of the podium overall.
Pinterault's compatriot Muzaton finished second overall, 0.26s back, with Austria's Frederic Berthold 0.35s behind the Swiss in third.
The all-rounders now have to wait until the World Championships, in St Moritz, next month, to get back to alpine combined action.
