The 30-year-old had drawn level with Austrian Annemarie Moser-Proell's record of 62 World Cup wins when she won Sunday's Super-G race in Italy.
But she took the record outright on Monday when she clocked 1:27.03 from her run to finish 0.85 seconds ahead of Austria's Anna Fenninger and bronze medallist Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein.
It was the 2010 Olympic downhill champion's fourth victory of the season after returning to action following two serious knee injuries.
While it was the 21st World Cup Super-G victory of her career, with her highest success having come in the downhill (32), with five wins in the Super Combined, three in the giant slalom and two in slalom.
Vonn is now fourth in the overall World Cup standings on 538 points although Slovenia's Tina Maze, just off the podium on Monday in fourth, continues to lead the way on 972.
