May 17 (The Sports Xchange) - Gisele Bundchen, the supermodel wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, said her husband suffered a concussion last season and in other years.

Bundchen, during an interview Wednesday on "CBS This Morning," was asked by Charlie Rose of her thoughts on Brady's plans that he wants to play into his mid-40s and whether she wants him to retire from football.
"I just have to say, as a wife, as you know (the NFL) is not the most, let's say, unaggressive sport. Football, he had a concussion last year," she said in the interview. "He has concussions pretty much every -- I mean we don't talk about it.
"But he has concussions and I don't really think it's a healthy thing for your body to go through. You know, that kind of aggression all the time, that cannot be healthy for you. I'm planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we're like 100 I hope."

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a one-year contract with former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount.
The deal is worth up to a reported $2.8 million for the 30-year-old Blount, who entered free agency after rushing for 1,161 yards in 2016.

NFL owners are expected to vote and approve at next week's league meetings a proposal that would reduce overtime from 15 to 10 minutes during regular-season games.
The league's 32 owners tabled the proposal after discussing it at the Phoenix meetings in March with the expectation that it would be approved at the spring meetings, scheduled to take place Monday through Wednesday in Chicago.
Cutting five minutes from the extra period could help reduce injuries, but there is concern a 10-minute overtime would lead to more ties.

Battery charges against Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Caleb Brantley were dismissed due to insufficient evidence, State Attorney officials in Florida announced.
Brantley was charged on suspicion of misdemeanor battery following an alleged altercation with a woman in a Gainesville bar, near the University of Florida campus.

Running back Leonard Fournette signed his rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fournette was selected fourth overall at last month's draft and reportedly signed a four-year deal.

Sutton, 25, joins the Vikings after spending the first three years of his career with the Bears, playing in 36 games with 18 starts and compiling 60 tackles.

Defensive end Jacquies Smith, who missed virtually all of last season with an ACL injury, signed his restricted free agent tender with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced.
The Bucs gave Smith the lowest restricted free-agent tender at $1.8-million.

Mack, who was a fourth-round selection in last month's draft, is the fifth of eight picks signed by the Colts.
