Mo Farah set for Doha Diamond League

Double Olympic champion Mo Farah is looking forward to an early season test after announcing he will kick his Diamond League campaign off in Doha.

The 32-year-old will compete in the 3000m in Qatar on May 15 – the first time he will have raced in Doha.

Farah, who is Olympic champion over 5000 and 10,000m, has already had an eventful start to the year by taking his first-ever world record when he ran 8:03.40 over two miles at Birmingham’s Indoor Grand Prix. And Doha will be the start of an eventful outdoor season that will see Farah defend his world titles in Beijing this August.

"I've heard so many great things about the track, the crowd and the competition in Doha," he said.
