Muir switched her usual environment of the track for the cross country course on Saturday as she brought the British mixed 4x1km relay team home to victory.
It ensured that Great Britain clinched the Stewart Cup for the first time since its introduction in 2015 but also proved Muir is enjoying some of the form of her life of late.
Earlier this week Muir broke Liz McColgan's 25-year 5000m British indoor record, adding to the 1500m record she took off Dame Kelly Holmes last summer.
She also made her Olympic Games debut last year before clinching the Diamond League 1500m title, although the 23-year-old – who will be targeting this summer's World Championships – shrugged off any questions about feeling the pressure.
"I wasn't used to been the one to watch before but it's great that people are recognising that I'm running fast and I just want to try and keep that up," she said.
"As the captain, I wanted to put in a great performance for the team. When I saw the other guys and girls placing well, I knew I had to deliver as well – luckily the legs were feeling ok."
