Olympics Rio 2016: Kenyan steeplechaser showboats from 100m out on way to gold and new OR

Conseslus Kipruto started celebrating from 100m out on his way to securing 3,000m steeplechase gold for Kenya in an Olympic record time.

The showboating began just before the home straight, as the runner waved to the crowd before the final jump.
Kipruto skipped the final obstacle with ease and practically waltzed over the finish line, holding off the advances of American Evan Jager, who was sprinting at full pelt.
Jager did finish ahead of two-time champion Ezekiel Kemboi however, with the Kenyan picking up bronze.
Of course, this is not the first bit of showboating at these Olympics...
