Great Britain could win a record 79 medals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, according to UK Sport director of performance Simon Timson.

A final medal target, including goals for each individual sport, will be released in July but it is expected to be between 47 and 79.
As hosts of London 2012, Team GB picked up a record 65 medals while notching 120 at the Paralympic Games.
Since the modern summer Olympics began in 1896, no host country has ever increased its medal tally at the next Games but Timson sees no reason not to aim high.
"Looking at our cumulative target ranges, the least we can collectively expect is 47, the same number as Beijing 2008," he explained.
"But if all stars align and things go perfectly, it could be as good as 79 medals. We can be confident it will be our best ever away Games.
"There is no absolute method to forecast how many medals we will get but it would be absolutely unprecedented for a host country to increase the medal tally from a home Games.
"But it's a challenge that has kindled the fire in the bellies of our elite programmes, coaches and athletes.
"I remain confident the aspirational goal will be within the medal target ranges when we announce them in July but the least I expect is the best ever 'away' Olympics and to remain as competitive at the Paralympic Games."
