Great Britain's hopes of qualifying for EuroBasket 2017 hang in the balance after defeat to Hungary at the Copper Box.
After winning their opening two games at home, GB were denied a third straight victory by a late surge from the visitors who took a lead towards the end of the third quarter and then did enough to seal an 88-80 triumph.
The result means Britain can no longer top their group but, with two games remaining, still have a chance of reaching EuroBasket 2017 as one of the four best second-placed teams.
Despite the defeat, a number of GB players impressed at the Copper Box, including Gabe Olaseni – who didn't miss a field goal attempt all game to finish with 17 points and eight rebounds.
And Olaseni is adamant the team won't be too downbeat following the performance.
"Congrats to Hungary, a great game" said Olaseni. "Unfortunately we lost, but there's still a lot to play for.
"The offensive rebounds [Hungary] did get, they were able to execute and get second chance points.
"Overall it was a solid game, they just made more plays down the stretch."
GB now face two must-win games if they are to qualify for EuroBasket 2017 with a trip to Macedonia first up on Wednesday before a clash with Luxembourg next Saturday.
