The 6ft 4in forward has been a key member of the GB team in recent years and will be part of an 11-woman roster named by Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve – as Minnesota look to add to the three WNBA titles they've already claimed.
Fagbenle was drafted by the Lynx in 2016 and has impressed in pre-season – notching ten points and four rebounds in a heavy 113-67 win over Atlanta Dream, followed by eight points and three rebounds in a 74-59 triumph against Washington.
The regular season begins on Sunday, as Minnesota host Chicago Sky, and British Basketball interim chair Ian Curryer believes the recognition is no less than Fagbenle deserves.
"Temi's hard work and dedication to the game does not go unnoticed and we are thrilled at the great news for her and the British game," said Curryer.
"We wish her all the very best for this season with the Lynx."
