June 23 (The Sports Xchange) - Sacramento coach George Karl wants to trade forward DeMarcus Cousins.

The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in acquiring the 24-year-old All-Star and are willing to give up the No. 2 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft.
One problem: Kings owner Vivek Ranadive will not approve trading Cousins.

Former NBA All-Star Andre Kirilenko has retired from playing but hopes to remain active in the game as president of the Russian basketball federation.
He last played for the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 13, 2014. He was traded in December to the Philadelphia 76ers and waived in February.

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up the option on center Timofey Mozgov for the 2015-16 season.
Mozgov will earn $4.9 million and then become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016.
