June 30 (The Sports Xchange) - The Utah Jazz have agreed to acquire point guard Ricky Rubio from the Minnesota Timberwolves for a first-round pick in the 2018 draft, multiple outlets reported on Friday.

The two teams reportedly have been in trade talks for over two weeks. The pick is top-14 protected.

The New Orleans Pelicans are expected to retain point guard Jrue Holiday with a big-money contract once the NBA free agency period begins at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

Holiday is expected to receive a five-year offer from the club for approximately $170 million in a meeting scheduled right as free agency begins.

The New York Knicks are expected to interview former Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin after the team parted ways this week with Phil Jackson as president of basketball operations.

Griffin, who left the Cavaliers last week in a mutual decision but reportedly over differences with owner Dan Gilbert, is a candidate to join the Knicks' front office, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
