The Frenchman, who anchored his side home, equals Frank Luck and Sven Fischer in second place on the all-time list among men.
If it was a milestone day for Fourcade, it was an equally impressive day for Anton Shipulin who pulled off a brilliant final leg to bring home the gold for Alexey Volkov, Maxim Tsvetkov and Anton Babikov.
The team used just three spares in their win compared to France's four and came home in a winning time of 1:14.15.
That was 5.8 seconds better than the French quartet of Jean Guillaume, Quentin Fillon Maillett, Simon Desthieux and Fourcade.
Bronze went to Austria as Daniel Mesotitsch, Julian Eberhard, Simon Eder and Dominik Landertinger finished 20.1 seconds off the pace.
Both Germany and Norway, in fourth and eighth respectively, failed to reach the podium. The 2017 World Championships conclude on Sunday with the women and men's mass start events.
