Martin Fourcade brought the curtain down on a super World Cup campaign in style, by winning the mass start finale in Oslo, Norway.
The Frenchman had long ago wrapped up the crystal globe but that didn't stop him from finishing on a high as Fourcade was the only man in the field to shoot clean en route to claiming victory in 37:32.2 minutes.
That was a 14th win for Fourcade in 26 events and meant he finished the World Cup campaign with 1322 points, way ahead of nearest challenger Anton Shipulin of Russia who finished 11th in Oslo to end on a score of 918.
Finishing runner-up to Fourcade was Latvian Rastorgujevs, who was 17.4 seconds behind and able to celebrate a first-ever podium finish.
And completing the podium was Austrian Simon Eder who finished 32.4 seconds back of Fourcade with one penalty.
