Marie Dorin Habert eased to victory in the women's 10km pursuit, to continue France's domination of Saturday's pursuit competitions in Oberhof.
With Martin Fourcade taking the win in the men's 12.5km event earlier in the day, Habert clocked a time of 34:33.3 with two penalties, taking the lead at the final standing stage and never relinquishing her advantage.
Czech Republic's Gabriela Koukalova finished second, 38.8 seconds and three penalties back, with Kaisa Makarainen third with four penalties, 1:19.1 behind.
Koukalova had taken the lead in the early stages, perfectly cleaning up all five targets in both prone stages, with Makarainen and Habert hot on her heels.
But Habert was able to take over proceedings later on, and now sits fourth in the overall rankings on 399 points.
Koukalova continues to lead on 419, with Makarainen and Germany's Laura Dahlmeier second and third respectively.
Habert admitted Fourcade's victory had spurred her on to clinch the gold medal herself.
"I watched the race with Martin, he is just so powerful, he is so strong," she said.
