Elana Meyers Taylor and Lolo Jones are on an impressive charge ahead of this month’s bobsleigh World Championships in Koeningssee.
Meyers Taylor won her fourth straight women’s race at Igls, taking an advantage of an eye-catching first run to beat Canada’s Kaillie Humphries and Melissa Lotholz by a quarter of a second.
American team-mates Jamie Greubel Poser and Aja Evans completed the podium.
However, Humphries maintains her overall World Cup lead with 1,446 points, 27 clear of Greubel Poser and 126 ahead of Meyers Taylor.
"We were testing things for the World Championships and we’re quite pleased with a silver," said Humphries, who still has to choose her partner for the big event, with Cynthia Appiah also in contention.
"Melissa has worked hard and our speed is great. The rivalry between her and Cynthia has been awesome to see. Bringing Cynthia into the mix has pushed both of them. They are in a healthy competition and the results are showing."
