By Wayne Bartlett: Reigning English light-heavyweight champion Peter "The Daddy" Haymer is in action this Sunday as he headlines a WSO promotion in association with Mickey Helliett at the York Hall Bethnal Green, taking on the Birmingham based Armenian Varuzhan Davtyan.

Haymer, 16-2(4), captured the English title by dethroning the tough Steve Spartacus in a thrilling points victory back in November 2004 and has since gone on to record four wins, the most notable scalp being that of former Commonwealth and WBU champion Tony Oakey.

Fresh from a ninth round stoppage of Stroud's Leigh Alliss only last month, 27-year-old former ABA champion Haymer should shine on Sunday against the game but limited Davtyan.

On the undercard, former British Heavyweight champion and Mike Tyson foe Julius Francis faces Paul Butlin, with Iron man Hussein Osman and Adrian Dodson also in action .
