Liverpool's Derry Mathews won the battle of the unbeaten fighters at the MEN Arena in Manchester by claiming a one-sided 12 round points win over the favoured Stephen Foster Jnr to clam the WBU featherweight crown.

The 23-year-old, who improved to 17-0-(9), was a clear winner on all three judges cards by 118-110,118-108 and 119-107.
