Ivan Calderon defended his WBO Junior Flyweight Championship in New York against Jesus Iribe despite being knocked down in the second round.
The 35-year-old Calderon (34-0-1, 6 KOs) won a unanimous decision as he used his better speed and movement to dominate after having being sent to the floor by a big right in the second.
In the end, all three judges had Calderon a comfortable winner with two judges scoring it 118-109 and a third a closer 116-111.
In Puebla, Mexico, Julio Cesar Miranda knocked out Richie Mepranum in the fifth round to win the vacant WBO flyweight crown.
The home favourite dropped Mepranum once in the fourth round and then twice more in the fifth before the referee finally stopped it.
It was Miranda's third world title fight and the first time he has won one. He improves to 32-5-1.
