Deontay Wilder is keen to fight Tyson Fury to unify the heavyweight division "as soon as possible" and is willing to meet the new WBA, IBF & WBO champion in the UK.

America's undefeated WBC champion Wilder - with 34 KOs from 35 fights - is keen to become the first undisputed world heavyweight champion since Britain's Lennox Lewis in 2000.
Wilder is due to fight again in January but assuming he comes through that unscathed, he may have to get in line for Fury, who could yet fight the deposed Wladimir Klitschko in a rematch with the Ukraine boxer having a clause inserted in the first contract with the 'Gypsy King'.
"We haven't had an undisputed champion in I can't remember how long - and I want to be the first name to bring the belts back together and heavyweight boxing back to its full potential," said WIlder speaking to the BBC.

"Next year is going to be a great year for me, regardless. Everything is falling in our plan, our time and our planning for what we want to do."

"Why do we need to mention Deontay Wilder?'" - that was Fury's rather miffed reaction to being asked about taking on the undefeated American. "Let's laugh at his name, shall we? He's a novice who left basketball and took up boxing a few years ago, so why would I be bothered about him? He can wait in line." However, if Klitschko opts to hang up the gloves instead of start over from square one, Wilder will surely be one of the most appealing options out there - because he holds the only world title Fury doesn't. The chance to follow in Lennox Lewis' footsteps as an undisputed world heavyweight champion from Britain will be too tempting for Fury to turn down, even if it would take a sequence of events to become his best option for that very first defence.
