Fury looks to extend unbeaten record

After making his debut in Canada, Hughie then travelled to the US to stop Alex Rozman (1-1) at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York. Shown on US network television (NBC) and on Channel 5 in the UK, Fury put Rozman on the canvas twice before the referee stepped stopped the contest in the first.

In Belfast, Hughie was dominant against experienced Ugandan Moses Matovu (4-26-3) before a trip to Romania to stop Hungarian Janos Finfera (0-4) in the second of four rounds. Czech Ladislav Kovarik (10-14) was next for the Fury treament, who was halted in the first round last week at Glow, Bluewater.

Everyone will be expecting Fury to dispose of Ladislav Kovarik (10-15) comfortably on Saturday night. Although his opponents thus far haven't been up to much, Fury is certainly racing through them, and at this rate it won't be long before he'll be expected to step up in class.

Promoter Mervyn Turner said: “Tyson made Luton and the Shamrock Gym part of his training camp when he won his British and Commonwealth belts beating Dereck Chisora so it is fantastic for us to have Hughie on the show in Norwich.

“There is also a possibility that we will be working with the Furys again soon as we look to put on another show in the area in the coming weeks.

“Hughie is only 18 but is obviously a great boxing talent. With the experience of Peter Fury guiding him and the help and experience of Tyson you would be a fool to not put money on him winning the top honours.”

Two title fights at the Epic Centre will also see Cromer's Ryan Walsh (15-0-1) compete for an International Masters belt, while unbeaten local welterweight Nathan Dale (9-0) faces Welshman Leon Findlay (4-3-1) for a British Masters title.

Former Commonwealth heavyweight champion Sam Sexton (17-3) and Craig Poxton from Lowestoft (1-2) are on the comeback trail. Billy ‘Boy’ Bird, who started boxing at nine, will be making his debut against Croydon's Joe Walsh (1-5-1).
