Joyce the sole bright light for British Lionhearts

Super-heavyweight Joyce won the British Lionhearts' sole point as they suffered a 4-1 defeat to the Cuba Domodores.

The Commonwealth Games gold medallist got the better of Lenier Eunice Pero Justiz to take his record to three wins from three contests, while he also became the first man to beat a Cuban boxing this World Series of Boxing.

But that was as good as it got as Ekow Essuman, John Newell and the Lionhearts' two overseas selections Kelvin de la Nieve Linares and Oualid Belaoura all lost.

The result means the Lionhearts sit fifth in an eight-team Group A, with the unbeaten Cubans leading the way at the summit.
