Commonwealth champion Sean McGoldrick was again beaten by Turkish nemesis Furkhan Memis as he failed to progress beyond the first round at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku.

Bantamweight McGoldrick also lost to Memis at this year's European Championships and again come off second best in a tense and always close encounter.
Memis nudged ahead after the first round but McGoldrick, awarded the gold in Delhi last year after Sri Lanka's Manju Wanniarachchi failed a drugs test, levelled the scores coming into the final round, before going down 12-10.
British welterweights Scott Cardle and fourth seed Fred Evans start their campaigns on Thursday against France's Alexis Vastine and New Zealand's Ricky Murphy respectively.
Super heavyweight Anthony Joshua - a newcomer to the British podium team - is also in action, taking on Trinidad's Tariq Adbul Haqq, the silver medallist at last year's Commonwealth Games.
