Joyce defeated Kazakhstan’s Ivan Dychko despite the first round going the way of his opponent.
Joyce, 30, hit back in a fantastic second round, though, hurting his opponent with a body shot.
The London fighter then opened up a cut above Dychko’s eye in the third and final round with the Kazakh labouring and letting his guard down. When the decision came in his favour it was unanimous.
"He was keeping me on the end of his jab in the first round but he couldn't keep up with that," he told the BBC. "I started closing him down and making some shots.
"I suspected I would be down after the first round and I thought 'right I better pick it up.'"
France’s Tony Yoka awaits in the final after he beat Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic.
Yoka, the world champion, suffered a nasty fall on his ankle as he came through.
