Fury says he will stand as an independent to challenge sitting MP, Conservative Davis Morris.
Fury said that there was too much focus on immigration and said there should be a spotlight on "our own brothers and sisters who are on the streets and abusing drugs and alcohol".
Fury does not want the UK to remain part of the European Union, and said: "I want to make a change for the better for the place I live.
"I believe that I will succeed because of the influence I have over the people from the town.
"I feel that coming from a travelling background, I am used to politics and arguing.
"My opinions on travellers are different to refugees - we are not talking about people coming over from Romania - they are British people," added Fury in quotes reported by the BBC.
Heavyweight champion Vladimir Klitschko has postponed his title fight next month against Fury following a tendon injury in training with the new date set to be announced this week.
Klitschko's WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO crowns were due to be on the line when the pair met in the German city of Duesseldorf on October 24.
