Former undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield scored a third round KO over journeyman Vinny Maddalone in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Maddalone, who had talked a good fight beforehand, was cut from a head butt from Holyfield in the first but was really busted up with punches from then on. His trainer Al Certo, asked for the referee to stop the slaughter in the third and the official agreed.
Holyfield is 3-0 in this latest comeback and goes to 41-8-2, (27 KOs).
Heavyweight Calvin Brock, 30-1 (23 KOs), returned from his brutal KO at the fists of IBF/IBO champion Wladimir Klitschko on the undercard, scoring an easy one-punch win over 11 time loser Ralph West.
The "fight" was over at 2:49 of the first round. Talk about easing a fighter back after a loss&hellip
Unbeaten bantamweight prospect Raul Martinez went to 18-0 (12 KOs) with an eight round decision over Kevin Hudgins.
