Shane Byrne roars through field to take win and championship lead

Shane Byrne came from ninth position to take victory at Brands Hatch in Round 6 of the British Superbikes Championship.

The BeWiser Ducati rider worked his was through the field in a thrilling race and eventually passed Dan Linfoot with just a few laps remaining.

Shakey Byrne makes decisive move in race one

Byrne gets 25 points for the win – which also puts him 14 ahead of Kawasaki's Luke Mossey, who finished 12th, in the championship standings.
The 40-year-old, who has five titles already to his name, is at the top of the points board for the first time after a slow start to the season at Donington where a crash ruled him out of the opening race weekend.
