England captain Eoin Morgan felt his side should have chased down a target of 306 to win the opening one-day international against Australia after being given a flying start by openers Jason Roy and Alex Hales.

Roy (67) and Hales (22) put on 70 for the first wicket in 11 overs as England responded well initially to Australia's 305 for six at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
However, the home side could not capitalise on that platform as, despite starts for the likes of James Taylor (49) and Morgan (38), they were bowled out for 246 with more than four overs unused.
Morgan told Sky Sports 2: "W e got off to a fantastic start, Alex Hales and Jason Roy set the tone early, and when we get off to a start like that we should be chasing down 305."
Asked if he thought Australia's score was over par, the England captain added: "No, absolutely not. I thought Australia defended the score pretty well. They put us under the pump, but I think we're a better side than that."
He added: "You can always do things differently. We'll look at our plans and our execution of them and how they look on replays and stuff, and obviously try and improve then for Lord's.
"But certainly at the start of the game we would have taken that (Australia's) score.
"It is frustrating but I don't want to deter anything away from the way the guys play naturally. We've seen what they can do - we just want to see more of it.
"Today was an opportunity that's gone amiss but certainly looking forward to Lord's."
Australia captain Steve Smith, who was part of the Test team that lost the Ashes this summer, said: " It's nice to be on that side of the draw.
"I thought the boys played really nicely tonight. We probably had a bit of a hiccup with the bat in the middle order, but Matthew Wade and Mitchell Marsh at the end there, to score 93 off the last 10, was an extremely good effort.
"I thought (the total) was around par. I thought we were going to have to bowl and field well and we did tonight, so that was the most pleasing thing from my point of view."
