Australia lead 8-2 on points after two one-day international wins and victory in the only Test at Canterbury, meaning England must win all three of the Twenty20 matches - starting on Wednesday at Chelmsford - to level the series and retain the Ashes.
And while Edwards admits her team must improve after losing three games in a row, she insists there is still belief in the dressing room that the contest can be salvaged.
"All our preparations will be going into 20 overs of cricket and hopefully turning things around," she said.
"As far as we're concerned in our dressing room we fully believe we can win these three games.
"We've got to play a lot better than we've played over the series so far. We need to completely just go out there and express ourselves and if there's one form of the game where we can turn things around, it's T20 cricket.
"Every game we play for England we want to win, so in effect it doesn't change our mindset. We just know we have to put in a strong performance here and who knows what can happen after that?
"We put pressure on the Australians and then we go to Hove where hopefully we will have another big crowd. We're just looking purely at Chelmsford on Wednesday night and we're all very confident."
Edwards added: "If it was one ground in this country that we want to play at for this big game it would probably be Chelmsford. We're unbeaten here and generally get a very good crowd.
"The players are desperate to turn things around. We've trained really hard over the last week and there's no better place for us to come out here on Wednesday night and put in a good performance."
