The exiled batsman will play no part against either New Zealand or Australia in seven Tests after new England and Wales Cricket Board director Andrew Strauss ruled out a return, citing a "massive trust issue".
Pietersen has previously limited himself to voicing his disappointment that he is not being considered for a place in Alastair Cook's team - especially after his unbeaten triple-century for Surrey against Leicestershire.
But on breathesport.com, in a discussion about who will replace the sacked Peter Moores as England's new coach, the record-breaking but controversial batsman made no secret of the fact he believes he should be selected.
Paul Farbrace will be caretaker coach for England's two-match Investec series against the Kiwis, starting at Lord's on Thursday, and Pietersen said: "He might be the only one who wants to use a team that's not allowed to be at full strength."
Pietersen is the only qualified player England's selectors are not currently at liberty to pick.
