Philander recalled by South Africa

Philander had been expected to play in the LV= County Championship game against Sussex, starting on Monday, but will now leave at the weekend.

His replacement, former Australia international Ben Hilfenhaus, will arrive at the club on Tuesday.

"When you sign an international overseas player, you always know there's a chance that they could be recalled by their country," said director of cricket Mick Newell.

James Taylor will lead the side in the Division One fixture at Trent Bridge after Chris Read was ruled out for four weeks with a hamstring injury.
