Prasanna to replace Karunaratne

Leg-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna is to replace injured batsman Dimuth Karunaratne in Sri Lanka's World Cup squad.

The International Cricket Council has approved the switch, and Prasanna - already down under as cover for Rangana Herath after the slow left-armer suffered a finger wound from a drive crunched back at him by England's Jos Buttler - is officially part of Sri Lanka's squad for their remaining matches.

Karunaratne's injury is also to a finger, broken in a practice session, and will play no further part in the tournament.
