Sciver hat-trick fires England women into T20 final

Natalie Sciver claimed a hat-trick as England’s women reached the Twenty20 tri-series final with a 19-run win over New Zealand.

England, missing injured skipper Charlotte Edwards, set a total of 125 as Danielle Wyatt top-scored with 37.

But the real fireworks came with the ball as Sciver, who totalled 23 off 21 with the bat, had Maddie Green caught by Holly Colvin, bowled Erin Bermingham and trapped Frances Mackay lbw in successive balls.

Sciver’s final figures of 4-21 weren’t even England’s best as Jenny Gunn managed 5-18, including three wickets in the final over.
