Jessica Diggins secured her third consecutive interval start 5km free victory in Toblach, Italy, on Friday, becoming only the second female skier to win the event at that distance, technique and format three times.
The American clocked a time of 12:45.6 to take top spot, ahead of Finland's Krista Parmakoski who finished 13.6 seconds back - her first second place finish of the season.
Third place was occupied by Diggins' American teammate Sadie Bjornsen, who crossed the line 14.6 seconds behind her compatriot to record her first ever individual World Cup podium.
Tour leader Heidi Weng finished fifth to extend her lead at the top of the standings, opening up an 11.1 second gap over fellow Norwegian Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, who placed eighth.
Stina Nilsson remains third overall, with Parmakoski and Diggins in fourth and fifth respectively.
"I really love 5km races," said Diggins. "The course here is amazing.
"I had so much fun, I gave everything I had today."
