The Canadians – looking to match their female compatriots in lifting the winner's trophy this year – recorded a 7-4 win to move straight through to the final.
The hosts made the better start, with skip Brad Gushue drawing his final stone of the first end into the house to open the scoring.
After that they moved into a 3-0 lead with single point steals in the next two ends before the Swedes got on the scoreboard with a point in the fourth.
Canada blanked the fifth end, taking a 3-1 lead into the break, before Gushue's attempted tap-out in the sixth end went wrong, giving Sweden a steal of one point that reduced the opponent's lead to 3-2.
Canada hit back in the seventh with Gushue's take-out scoring three points for a 6-2 advantage, although Sweden reduced the lead to 6-4 in the eighth.
But that was as good as it got for Sweden with another point for their opponents in the ninth before Niklas Edin's rink ran out of stones in the tenth.
Gushue, skip of unbeaten Canada, said: "We played well. I thought overall our team was pretty sharp tonight. We missed a couple of opportunities, but I was very happy with how we played overall.
"Once we got the steal in the second [end] we really felt like we were in control of the game."
All is not lost for Sweden however as they have a second chance of making the final when they take on the winner of Saturday's Page 3v4 play-off between Switzerland and USA.
