Sweden top women's ranking

With their triple-crown victory in the Olympics, the World Championships and the European Championship, Sweden claimed the top of the newly released women's rankings with 1,216 points.
Olympic bronze medallists Canada (1,085 points) and silver medallists Switzerland (868 points) are in second and third place.
Scotland/Great Britain, who compete as a combined team at the Olympics and are thus grouped together in the rankings, are ranked sixth.
Canada earned their second-place on the basis of repeated top-three finishes in Olympic and World competition.
The Canadians earned double-bronze finishes at Turin and Grande Prairie.
Switzerland earned their third-place on the basis of silver medals from both the 2002 and 2006 Olympics.
Fourth ranked Norway (856 points) and the fifth ranked United States (855 points) are separated by a single point.
Scotland/Great Britain, Denmark, Japan, Russia and Italy round out the top-ten.
