Muirhead finished runner-up in the opening event of the season in Edmonton last weekend, the first qualification points secured on the road to PyeongChang in 2018.
With long-term third Anna Sloan sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury, experienced campaigner Kelly Schafer has been drafted in.
Schafer, 35, represented Team GB at the 2006 Olympics in Turin and was part of Murihead's silver medal-winning rink at the World Championships four years later.
She will be joined by second Vicki Adams, who won Olympic bronze in 2014, and Lauren Gray, who was reserve in Sochi and is now the team's new lead.
"Kelly was a great option for us and she's made a big sacrifice to be with the team," said Muirhead.
"I've obviously played with her before and it will be an ideal solution until Anna is back and fit.
"We've had some big changes but we fear no teams and every tournament will be an invaluable experience as we start building towards the Olympics."
Muirhead, 26, also insisted there were no regrets from her one shot defeat to Casey Scheidegger in the final of the season opener.
"It's disappointing to lose but we are very happy with the week," she added.
"We were the only team to go through the round robin unbeaten and there are lots of positives we can take."
