Muirhead and her team came into their clash with Sweden knowing nothing but victory would be good enough after going down 8-6 to table-toppers Switzerland in the morning session.

But it was the Swedes, also in with a chance of making the play-offs, who held the early advantage after a single steal on the opening end.
But Muirhead hit back for two and then helped pull her team ahead for the first time with a further two in the fourth end for 4-3.
It would be a lead that they would not ultimately relinquish, although the Swedes battled hard, going into the final end trailing by just one at 8-7.
But Muirhead ended with a tap-back in the tenth to score two points and win 10-7.
Scotland will now face China after the Asian side lost to Russia 11-6 in Thursday's evening session with the winner taking the fourth and last place in the Page play-offs.
Switzerland will face Canada, while Russia will meet the winner of the tie-break in the 3-4 play-off game on Friday evening.
And Muirhead admitted confidence was high after their crucial victory over Sweden.
"That was our best performance of the week by a country mile. We really dug deep there and gave our best performance, but we always seem to save our best performances for the play-offs," she said.
"We always seem to make it hard for ourselves. We had a right good chat after this morning's game. When we all come together like that we play great.
"We've put ourselves in the position now – we've still got a chance. We just need to make sure we win our next game."
