Unibet.com handed bid

"Unibet.com ProTour Team is participating in Milano-SanRemo on Saturday, March 24th," the team said on its official website on Tuesday.

"RCS, the organiser of Milano-Sanremo, Tirreno-Adriatico and Giro d'Italia, provided the Swedish ProTour Team with a wild-card for the Italian spring classic today."

RCS Sport had originally said they would not invite Unibet.com to Tirreno-Adriatioc, Milan-Sanremo, or the Tour of Italy, but have apparently back off of that stance after reaching an accord with the UCI ProTour last week.

Organisers from the three Grand Tours and the International Cycling Union (UCI) agreed during a meeting on March 5 to allow Paris-Nice to go ahead as a ProTour event, despite race organisers' failure to invite Unibet.com as stipulated by ProTour rules.

Unibet.com is not participating in Paris-Nice, despite the team's protests.
