Germany's Roger Kluge won stage 17 of the Giro d'Italia as Holland's Steven Kruijswijk held on to the race leader's pink jersey for another day.
Germany's Roger Kluge won stage 17 of the Giro d'Italia as Holland's Steven Kruijswijk held on to the race leader's pink jersey for another day.
Kluge (IAM Cycling) won the 196-kilometres route from Molveno to Cassano d'Adda ahead of Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo) and Nikias Arndt (Giant-Alpecin).
Kruijswijk (Lotto-Jumbo) remains three minutes clear of his nearest challenger in the 99th edition of the Tour of Italy, which concludes on Sunday.
Esteban Chaves (Orica-GreenEdge) is second, Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) three minutes 23 seconds behind in third and pre-race favourite Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) 4mins 43secs behind in fourth.
Kruijswijk's position is expected to come under attack on Thursday's 240km 18th stage from Muggio to Pinerolo.
