Watch Tour de France winner Chris Froome at the RideLondon-Surrey Classic, LIVE on Eurosport

Chris Froome returns to race on the British Isles for the first time since the 2014 Tour de France to compete at the RideLondon-Surrey Classic.

The recently crowned Tour de France champion announced he will tackle the 200km route through London and Surrey as part of his preparations for the Olympic road race in Rio. Team Sky team-mates Geraint Thomas, Ian Stannard and Ben Swift will also be amongst the peloton.
The star-studded field also includes Orica–BikeExchange rider Adam Yates, who recently won the Young Riders Classification at this year’s Tour de France and Champs-Elysees winner Andre Greipel.
Also LIVE on Eurosport is the women’s Prudential RideLondon race which has been awarded WorldTour status by the UCI, cycling’s world governing body. The new Prudential RideLondon Classique replaces the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix, the women’s criterium race that was held for the past three years in and around St James’s Park. Laura Trott won the race back in 2013.
Carlton Kirby and Matt Stephens will be in the commentary box taking viewers through the action.
