Chris Froome has been included in an extremely strong Team Sky line-up for the 2017 World Championship Team Time Trial.

Team Sky's cyclist celebrate on the podium after winning the 1st stage of the 71st edition of 'La Vuelta' Tour of Spain, a 27,8 km team trial time between Balneario Laias to Castrelo de Mino (Ourense) on August 20, 2016.

The six-man team will take on Sunday’s 42.5km course in Bergen, Norway. And the addition of Froome to the roster will significantly strengthen Sky’s chances of taking the world title.
“The plan is to go for the win,” director Brett Lancaster (a former Olympic gold medallist in the team pursuit) said. “It’s a very strong line-up and, fresh off the Vuelta win, the guys are going to be really motivated."
“The course is very rolling and there’s a climb that finishes with around 10 or 12 kilometres to go," Lancaster added. "It’s quite steep and I think with the team we’re taking and the likes of Froomey, (Gianni) Moscon and Geraint (Thomas), that suits us.
“Last year we went in hoping to give the podium a crack but this year we’re definitely targeting the win. But it’s definitely not going to be easy.
“There’s always stiff competition and it’s going to be close as a lot of teams are dialled in these days. It’s going to be really important to have everyone going really well on the day."
The men's team time trial will be live on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport Player from 2:30pm on Sunday.
