Olympics Rio 2016: Britain's Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow claim bronze in synchro 10m platform

Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow of Great Britain claimed bronze in the men's 10m platform synchro at Rio 2016.

China claimed the gold medal for with an enormous 496.98 points, with the USA taking second place on 457.11 points.
The British duo got off to a strong start with a one and a half somersault pike, though the synchronisation was not perfect, to score 51.6 and put them in third place, remaining there after a third round three and a half somersault tuck produced a score of 79.68.
On their fourth dive, the GB pair looked more synchronised, but Goodfellow hit the water with a notable splash, to score 81.6, putting them fifth, though still only five points within third-placed Germany.
A fifth dive gave them their best score of the evening, at 92.13 - the same dive had garnered a score of 106.56 for China, who completely outclassed competitors throughout the event.
Team USA produced consistently good results in the 80s, sealing second place with a strong score that GB would have needed 103 points to outdo, leaving it between Germany and Great Britain to battle it out for bronze, with GB needing 83.61 to take anything home.
Executing one of their stronger dives of the evening - a back 3.5 somersault pike - under huge pressure they managed a score of 89.64 to just edge Germany by six points for GB's fourth medal of the games on a total score of 444.45.
