Jan Černy will be aiming high when the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship resumes on Rally di Roma Capitale later this week.
The ACCR Czech Team driver finished second in class on his home event last month. But while the result was a season-best for the ŠKODA Fabia R5 driver, it wasn’t the victory he craved following a tough start to his season.
“I’ve never been to this rally so it’s going to be really difficult to find the right set-up,” said the 27-year-old Černy. “From looking at the on-boards from last year the roads look really fast, not typical turning roads like I expected. For sure we’re going to push because this season has not been really good for us. It was better in Barum but now I want more in Italy.”
