Fans flock to ERC Cyprus Rally ceremonial start

Crews made the 40-minute journey to Larnaca’s promenade where they met fans and sampled the famous Cypriot hospitality before crossing over the start ramp.

Deniz Denner and Omer Topcu had the honour of starting first in his Mitsubishi Lancer followed by Petros Panteli and Christos Demosthenous.

Fourteen stages make up this year’s Cyprus Rally starting with Kalo Chorio from 07h43 local time. Ayia Napa hosts the finish at 17h23 on Sunday following to runs of the Love Cyprus Golden Stage, which carries a prize fund of 24,000 euros.
