Emma Falcón hit back from her late retirement on Rally di Roma Capitale by confirming her plans to return to the FIA European Rally Championship in 2018.
Canary Islander Falcón has tackled four rounds of this season’s ERC and was leading the ERC Ladies’ Trophy section in Italy when and engine issue put her out on the penultimate stage.
“We had to stop one stage from the finish, we think the engine is broken,” Falcón said afterwards. “It’s very sad to finish like this after this long and difficult rally. But thanks to my ARC team, family and friends to be with us. Next year we will come again.”
